About Us

We are a coalition of students who are working towards a cause that we find important. Our leading team is made up of three 11th graders: Jaanam, Manya, and Ritisha. We all found this environmental issue eminent and something that we can actively work towards to create positive change. Although, this group is working together now, our experiences with beach pollution has all been very different: 

Jaanam is really passionate about environmental issues, ranging from terrestrial to aquatic so she was immediately on board with with this plan. 

Manya gained her experience of beach clean ups by experiencing them first hand. She attended several beach clean ups and was the executive planner for another one. 

Ritisha gained her experience about beach pollution by conducting a research project on the effects of gas emissions on ocean acidification. This directory also guided her towards the contribution that beach pollution has and the damage it causes to the marine life.  

With this project we hope to inspire others like us to join our movement, or form movements of their own.
